Where Tour Funds Go

The Clairemont Garden Tour was first held in 1997 and has since been held each year as an annual fundraiser for the Clairemont Town Council. Each year the tour gains in popularity and attendance. In 2014, in addition to the Garden Tour, we will be holding an Expo, reaching more than 700 community members in an entertaining and informative collaboration with the Master Gardeners.

The Clairemont Town Council’s purpose is to promote the civic, commercial, educational and cultural activities, as well as the general welfare of the community of Clairemont. The objectives of the Council are to provide a forum for discussion of community issues, take a stand on community issues as authorized by the membership, communicate community views to the appropriate organizations, and sponsor programs that benefit Clairemont.

Our board members represent a broad cross-section of Clairemont who are all volunteers committed to keeping Clairemont great. Proceeds from the Garden Tour go directly back into our community, funding many community activities and organizations, including those listed below.
  • Movies in the Park
  • National Night Out
  • Clairemont Days
  • Stay SAFE
  • D-6 Night out
  • Clairemont holiday dinner
  • and donations to local schools, such as purchasing easy-up canopies for the Clairemont High School aquatics program
The CTC meets the first Thursday of every month at 6:30 p.m. to learn more about Clairemont and events that shape our community and our lives. Our meetings are held in the Cadman Elementary School Cafeteria, 4370 Kamloop Avenue, San Diego, CA 92117.
